A man is under arrest and charged with drug-related charges after police discovered illegal substances and cash on Cleveland’s west side last month.
As part of a narcotics trafficking investigation, the Cleveland Police First District VICE Unit conducted a search warrant on a property and discovered approximately 8 ounces of cocaine and 60 grams of heroin. This initial search yielded approximately $12,500 in cash, deemed “suspected drug proceeds.”
The defendant, whom police could not identify, was not present at the time the warrant was issued but was later discovered and arrested, according to Cleveland police.
Another search warrant issued in conjunction with the case turned up more than $100,000 in cash linked to narcotics trafficking.
The suspect’s case is currently before a grand jury.
