Smith allegedly staggering in parking lot

Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Matt Walker and Deputy Joey Smith arrested Donnie Allen Smith, age 42, of Manchester, on Monday evening, February 17, 2025, at approximately 7:05 PM. 
The arrest occurred in a business parking lot approximately 4 miles South of London after London dispatched deputies – Laurel County 911 Communication Ctr. to a complaint of a male subject staggering throughout the business before returning to his vehicle. 
When deputies arrived, they located the suspect driving a silver Chevrolet Camaro and conducted a traffic stop. 
During the investigation, deputies noted detecting the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the driver, and upon him exiting the vehicle, they said he was staggering and struggling to keep his balance. The driver was determined to be under the influence and was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; no operator's license.
