Oneida Lodge hit with 14 inches of water
February 17, 2025

The Oneida Masonic Lodge recently spent $30,000 to repair damage done by flooding in 2021. Now, officials said they are going to have to make repairs caused by flooding once again.
Mud was all over the floor and officials with the lodge said the floodwater got 14 inches inside the building. Officials said they sandbagged but that did not help much.
“I never thought it would get up here this bad,” said Simmie Morris, who works with the lodge. “That scared us. We thought maybe it would. Try to prepare for it but it didn’t help.”
A healthy Clay County requires great community news.
