A Sarasota man is being jailed without bond after a protracted investigation into a child’s persistent sexual assault. On April 23, 2026, detectives from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Noel Lopez-Cisneros after discovering evidence of crimes dating back more than a decade.
According to investigators, the abuse started in September 2020 and lasted until the month of his arrest. Lopez-Cisneros was reportedly acquainted with the victim.
The case against him was established using forensic interviews, witness testimony, and taped confessions, all of which lead detectives to establish probable cause for a number of serious felony charges.
Lopez-Cisneros faces five counts of sexual violence on a child under the age of 12 and seven counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.
Because of the gravity and frequency of the alleged crimes, he is being held at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility without bail as the legal process continues.
Sheriff’s officials stated that the inquiry into Lopez-Cisneros’ actions is still ongoing. Authorities are requesting anyone with additional information about this case, or information about other potential victims, to come forward.
