LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Two people are dead after what officials believe was a murder-suicide in the Newburg neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 6:51 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, in the 3400 block of East Indian Trail.
When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman who had both been shot. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken to UofL Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Officials said the incident appears to be a murder-suicide.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating.
