Our spring-like weather pattern is expected to continue.
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Mother Nature continues to remind us that springtime has arrived in South Central Kentucky. As a result, the region is experiencing unseasonably mild temperatures along with periods of rain and some storms. However, the severe weather threat has decreased for our area, which is good news. Even so, the rain isn’t over yet.
THURSDAY: Scattered showers and thunderstorms to our north will move into the region later this morning. Severe weather is not expected, but heavy rain remains possible.
After the showers move out, conditions will stay mostly dry on Friday before rain chances return on Saturday. Earlier forecasts suggested Saturday could be a complete washout. However, models now disagree and instead indicate a line of showers and a few storms passing through. The Storm Prediction Center has placed our entire viewing area under a Marginal Risk for Saturday, which is a level 1 out of 5.
LOOKING AHEAD: Wet weather will continue alongside unseasonably warm temperatures. Don’t forget to set your clocks one hour ahead before going to bed Saturday night. It’s also a good time to check and test your smoke detectors.
