LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man in connection with the robbery and assault of a rideshare driver.

Quishawn Walker, 22, of Louisville, is charged with robbery, wanton endangerment involving the discharge of a firearm, assault, and unlawful imprisonment.

According to the arrest warrant, Walker was riding in a rideshare vehicle he ordered through an app on Oct. 19, 2025, when he got into an argument with the driver. Investigators say Walker then pulled out a handgun and struck the driver in the face and upper body using the handle of the gun and his hands. When the driver attempted to end the trip, Walker allegedly threatened to shoot him if he did not take him home.

After arriving at Walker’s residence, the warrant states that Walker demanded the driver’s money and hit him in the head. During a struggle outside the vehicle, one round was fired from the gun. Neither man was hit by the gunfire. Both then ran from the scene, and the victim contacted police.

Walker was taken into custody on Feb. 4, 2026, and is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 5.

In addition to the charges related to this incident, Walker was also arraigned on a separate assault charge involving domestic violence.
