KENTUCKY — A Louisville man is in custody at the Nelson County Correctional Center following a police chase Tuesday.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office reported that the pursuit began on New Shepherdsville Road when Kentucky State Police troopers tried to stop a motorcyclist. Deputies from the sheriff’s office joined the chase shortly afterward.

The motorcyclist was identified as 29-year-old Brandon Williams of Louisville. Authorities said Williams weaved through traffic and drove at high speeds through intersections. The chase ended when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a ditch.

Williams was treated at a nearby hospital before being booked into the Nelson County Correctional Center. He faces multiple charges, including speeding, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, and reckless driving.
