Antoine Simmons, 34, of Louisville, was arrested by Louisville Metro Police homicide detectives in connection with an August 28, 2025 stabbing that left a man dead the next day.

A man has been taken into custody in an August stabbing that resulted in a fatality.

Louisville Metro Police Department homicide detectives arrested 34-year-old Antoine Simmons. He is charged with one count of murder.

Police said Simmons was wanted in the death of a man who was stabbed around 10 p.m. on August 28 in the 9500 block of Johnsontown Way. The victim, who had multiple stab wounds, was taken to UofL Hospital but died several hours later.

A grand jury indicted Simmons in the case. He was arrested without incident on November 18 and booked into Louisville Metro Corrections. Police said he was also being sought on charges in other cases.

During his Jefferson Circuit Court arraignment, a not guilty plea was entered for Simmons. His bond was set at $10,000 cash. If he posts bond, he will be placed on home incarceration.

Simmons is scheduled to return to court on January 6, 2026, for a pretrial conference.
