If you’re feeling lucky ahead of the Nov. 14 Mega Millions drawing, you may want to stop by Kroger for a special promotion.
The Kentucky Lottery will hand out $5 Mega Millions coupons to Louisville shoppers for the $965 million jackpot starting at 1 p.m. at the Kroger located at 5000 Mud Lane.
Terry Sebastian, spokesperson for the Kentucky Lottery Commission, said people may begin lining up about 30 minutes before the event. A similar promotion was held in September at a local Publix for the $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot.
Kentucky Lottery CEO and President Mary Harville will be present for the giveaway. Sebastian said he expects around 500 people to attend.
“It’s always interesting to see shoppers who had no idea about the giveaway,” he said.
The commission will also hand out T-shirts and other free items. Coupons will be available while supplies last.
