LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — After a sunny, breezy Wednesday with milder highs in the 50s and low 60s, a chilly night will set in under mostly clear skies. Temperatures will drop into the 30s overnight.

Central Kentucky weather outlook
Temperatures will keep climbing through late week and into the weekend, reaching near 70 degrees by Saturday.

A few light showers are possible on Friday, but most areas will stay dry. Another system could bring a better chance of rain from late Saturday into Sunday. These systems will be weak, allowing for plenty of dry periods between showers.

Cooler, more seasonable air returns early next week before temperatures rebound into the 60s. Widespread rain is expected from Tuesday into Wednesday, followed by another system later in the week that could bring more rain and possibly a few storms.
