LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Firefighters responded early Friday morning to a home in Louisville’s Russell neighborhood, which suffered heavy damage from a blaze.
According to LFD Captain Donovan Sims, crews arrived at the 3000 block of River Park Drive around 1:30 a.m. following reports of a fire and a possible shooting. LMPD officers confirmed there was no shooting at the scene.
Firefighters found heavy flames at the rear of the two-story home but no occupants were inside. The fire was brought under control in less than 20 minutes with 25 firefighters on scene, and no injuries were reported.
The Louisville Metro Arson Unit is investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
