FRANKFORT, Ky. — A man from Grayson County is celebrating after winning the $30,000 top prize on the Kentucky Lottery’s Wild Cash 30X scratch-off.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he had been determined to hit a big win on the ticket. “I’ve been having pretty decent luck with it,” he shared in a release.

He purchased the winning $3 ticket at Stop-N-Shop in Leitchfield and described his strategy: buying a few tickets daily and using smaller prize winnings to purchase more Wild Cash 30X tickets. “I buy five at a time each time I go, every day,” he said.

Before this win, his biggest prize had been $500. The winner plans to make practical purchases, including a new truck, and to help with a child preparing for college. He received a check for $21,600, while Stop-N-Shop earned $300 for selling the winning ticket.

The Wild Cash family of games launched on June 26, with price points ranging from $2 to $30. The $3 Wild Cash 30X still has two $30,000 top prizes remaining, 23 $1,000 prizes, and various lower-tier prizes.

In 2025, the Kentucky Lottery paid out over $1.6 billion in prizes, funding scholarships and grants for more than 1 million Kentucky college students.
