A Crystal River woman was detained for trespassing after an officer discovered her lying on the floor near a public restroom.
An officer exited the city restrooms with a suspicious subject on Main Street approximately 1 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. He then noticed 55-year-old Dianne Kujawa lying on the floor.
He immediately knew her from previous encounters in the same area. Dispatch confirmed she had already been trespassed, and she was issued a misdemeanor trespassing citation following a warning on September 10, according to the report.
When I spoke with Kujawa, she said she’d been there for a while. She refused to indicate how long, according to the article.
Following a warning, Kujawa was detained for trespassing. She was booked into the Lake County Jail, and the bond was set at $500.
The New Jersey native was also detained in December 2024 after frequently returning to the same restroom in downtown Leesburg. She was caught trespassing in a Leesburg restaurant’s outdoor dining area in September 2024.
