Attorney General Dave Sunday announced charges against 12 people after a long-term investigation into the sale of THC products at stores across the state.
According to the Attorney General’s office, the defendants were members of a criminal enterprise that moved marijuana and other high-potency THC products from warehouses to convenience stores around the state.
During the inquiry, about 150,000 items were seized from warehouses in Plum Boro, Allegheny County; Pittston, Luzerne County; and Bensalem, Bucks County.
All 12 suspects have been arraigned on counts of corrupt organizations and dealing in unlawful revenues. Many people face felony drug trafficking charges. Those charged are:

- Duttkumar Patel
- Dharmeshkumar Patel
- Madhav Patel
- Nirav Patel
- Divyesh Patel
- Palak Patel
- Ketankumar Patel
- Niravkumar Vora
- Roshniben Patel
- Ankitkumar Patel
- Mitul Patel
Several defendants are also suspected of laundering millions of dollars in unlawful proceeds. Investigators linked around $18.7 million to the suspected operation.
“This criminal enterprise took deliberate steps to distribute these illegal narcotics statewide and then conceal the millions of dollars they profited from the scheme,” Sunday said. “Many of the products seized during this investigation were packaged and flavored to attract children. Collaboration with law enforcement partners led to the takedown of this sophisticated network and resulted in very serious charges.”
