Louisville police search for suspects after man shot in downtown road rage incident

Louisville police are searching for a suspect accused of shooting a man during a road rage incident Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to UofL Hospital just after 5:30 a.m. after receiving a report that a man had been brought in with a gunshot wound, according to Officer Adam Sears, a spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Police Department.

Sears said the victim was involved in a road rage confrontation and was shot by someone in another vehicle. The shooting reportedly happened near the split of Interstate 64 West and Interstate 65 South.

Police said the victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is leading the investigation. Authorities said they do not yet have a suspect or a description of the vehicle involved.
