LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The $1 million grand prize remains unclaimed in the Stock Yards Bank Kentucky Derby Festival $1 Million Hole-In-One Golf Contest, as no participant has aced Hole #8 at Seneca Golf Course. However, one Louisville man came very close Tuesday night.
Jeremy Milam, the 52nd finalist to take a shot at the $1 million prize, secured first place for the round.
Milam landed his tee shot just five feet, two-and-a-quarter inches from the cup, earning him the $5,000 prize as the closest to the pin.
This marked Milam’s fourth appearance in the Derby Festival golf event finals.
“This was definitely the most incredible golf moment I’ve ever had,” said Milam. “I’ve never had a hole-in-one, except for the one during qualifying rounds, but this will be tough to top until I win the million.”
Milam said he plans to continue competing for a chance at the $1 million prize.
