15-year-old Central Kentucky high school student dies in weekend accident

Freshman Hayden Corey Saylor, 15, passed away on Saturday, according to an announcement Clark County Public Schools made on social media.

Superintendent Dustin Howard released a statement explaining that Saylor lost his life due to injuries he suffered in an accident.

Howard said the Clark County Public Schools is a community that cares deeply for one another.

He said there will be counselors and support staff available.

This heartbreaking loss has affected our entire school district community. Counselors and support staff will be available for as long as needed to assist anyone who may need support. We encourage families to talk with their children and to reach out if additional help is needed
