Teen, two men arrested in downtown Louisville shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Three people, including a 15-year-old, have been arrested following a weekend shooting in downtown Louisville, according to Louisville Metro Police.

LMPD said officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the foot Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of East Broadway.

The victim was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital and is expected to survive.

On Tuesday, police announced the arrests of a 15-year-old and two adult men in connection with the shooting.

William Billups, 24, and Jamikel Brown, 19, are both charged with first-degree assault and robbery. Billups also faces an additional charge of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

The 15-year-old, whose identity has not been released, is charged with complicity to first-degree assault.

LMPD said the investigation remains ongoing.
