LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A woman has died after her vehicle crashed into a house on Cooper Chapel Road Monday evening, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Officers responded around 3:15 p.m. to reports of a vehicle that had slammed into a home in the 6000 block of Cooper Chapel Road, LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.
Preliminary findings indicate the woman was driving a pickup truck when she veered off the roadway for unknown reasons and struck the house.
Police confirmed that no one was inside the home at the time of the crash.
Emergency crews transported the woman to UofL Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
