LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Police said a pregnant woman with life-threatening injuries was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital following a domestic violence shooting in Glasgow, Kentucky.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of Cleveland Avenue after receiving reports of a woman who had been shot while inside a vehicle during a domestic incident.

Investigators stated that 25-year-old Brandon Lee Bond allegedly shot the victim during the altercation before fleeing the scene while armed.

Authorities later located him in a nearby wooded area and took him into custody without incident.

The victim was transported from a local hospital to the University of Louisville Hospital, where she is receiving treatment for life-threatening injuries. Police confirmed that she is pregnant.

Bond faces charges including first-degree attempted murder, domestic violence, first-degree attempted fetal homicide, and first-degree fleeing or evading police.

The investigation remains ongoing.
