Man killed, another injured in southeast Louisville crash, LMPD says

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A crash in southeast Louisville claimed the life of a man and left another person injured Thursday night.

Officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department responded around 8:35 p.m. to the 5000 block of Routt Road following reports of a crash near Pope Lick Park.

When police arrived, they found multiple individuals suffering from injuries. Emergency crews transported two people to the hospital, where a man later died.

Authorities have not released additional details about the crash.

LMPD’s Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate.
