Louisville police investigate two weekend shootings; victims expected to recover

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police are investigating two separate weekend shootings that left two people injured.

The first incident occurred just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of East Wellington Avenue. Officers found a man behind a duplex with a gunshot wound to his arm.

Around 1:10 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 100 block of Nolin Place in the Southside neighborhood after reports of a shooting. A woman in her 50s was found with a gunshot wound to her arm.

Both victims were taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover.

Anyone with information on either shooting is asked to call the Anonymous Tip Line at (502) 574-LMPD or submit a report through the online Crime Tip Portal.

The Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling both investigations.
