Wife shoots dog over attention husband gave it

An Illinois woman is accused of shooting a dog out of jealousy her husband gave the pooch.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s office has charged Tracy Picciariello, 52, with aggravated cruelty to an animal.

The department responded to a call from Picciariello saying she shot her dog the previous night during an argument with her husband.

Deputies said the husband told them the argument with his wife was about her being jealous of the attention he gave the family pets.  

The husband later shot the dog to put it down.  His wife was taken to jail.
