AdventHealth Celebrates Completion of the Summer Fitness Program
As the summer season ends, the local community has come together to celebrate a significant milestone in health and wellness. The summer fitness program concluded with an impressive collective weight loss of 54.7 pounds and a 15% total body fat reduction.
Participants of the program marked the end of their journey with a nutritious celebration, enjoying healthy Subway sandwiches in honor of their collective achievement. Loretta Smallwood and Victoria Gibson led the adult winners with their outstanding results, while the youth participants were rewarded for their dedication with bicycles and Cricut water bottles.
The event also featured an educational talk by Kellie Gray, nutritionist, who shared valuable insights on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Her contribution to the program provided participants with the knowledge and motivation to continue their wellness journey beyond the summer.
Special recognition was given to Payshence Henson, the dedicated trainer whose guidance was instrumental in the success of the participants. The program also extends its deepest gratitude to the Clay County Family Resource and Youth Services Center and First National Bank of Manchester, as well as all other partners for their unwavering support.
This summer's program has once again highlighted the transformative power of community and wellness. The organizers and participants look forward to next summer, when they will continue to inspire and foster positive change in health and fitness.
