PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – Police say two Louisville men were taken to jail on meth trafficking charges.

Andrew Billingslea and Jonathan Jones were arrested after being accused of trafficking meth in Pike County.

The incident happened on Sunday when a witness reported an illegal meth sale in the county.

Police were on U.S. 23 when they saw two vehicles driving slowly toward Pikeville.

They later saw the vehicles pull into a gas station and watched Jones and Billingslea go inside.

Officers made contact with both men, and a K-9 then alerted police to drugs in both vehicles.

During a search, police found a Ziploc bag containing a substance weighing about 3.2 pounds, which they believe was meth.

The men were taken to the Pike County Detention Center.

They were charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, involving two grams or more of meth.
