LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Nearly five months after a fatal shooting in Louisville, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim.
On May 26, 2025, Louisville Metro Police responded to a report of a person down in the 1600 block of Patton Court in the Algonquin neighborhood. Officers found an obviously deceased individual who had been shot inside the location.
The following day, the coroner’s office informed LMPD’s Homicide Unit that foul play was suspected, and the unit took over the investigation.
On Friday, the coroner identified the victim as 47-year-old Paul McMahan.
