KENTUCKY — A 56-year-old man from Leitchfield was arrested after allegedly sending death threats to local officials, according to the Kentucky State Police.

Authorities say William C. “Buddy” Howell was taken into custody at his home following an investigation.

Howell allegedly sent threats to Grayson County Attorney Jeremy Logsdon, Clarkson Police Chief Buck Meredith—who is also running for Grayson County Sheriff—and a local woman.

He now faces four counts of third-degree terroristic threatening and is being held at the Grayson County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
