LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Firefighters rescued one person from a burning home in Louisville’s Newburg neighborhood early Tuesday morning.

According to Assistant Chief Dewayne Hutchens of the Fern Creek Fire Department, crews were called to the 4200 block of Monticello Avenue shortly after 7 a.m.

Firefighters searched the home and rescued one victim, who was taken to the hospital for treatment. Officials have not released information about the person’s condition.

Crews from the Okolona Fire Protection District also assisted at the scene.
