Louisville Police Investigate After Man Arrives at UofL Hospital with Gunshot Wound

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police are investigating after a man walked into UofL Hospital on Monday afternoon with a gunshot wound.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson John Bradley, the man arrived at the hospital around 2 p.m. Investigators later determined he had been shot shortly before his arrival in the 1000 block of South 28th Street, near West Kentucky Street.

The victim is expected to survive.

LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation, but no suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is urged to call the department’s anonymous Crime Tip Line at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or submit a tip through the Crime Tip Portal.
