LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police have removed heroin mixed with fentanyl from the streets.

On Thursday, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Del Park Terrace in the Shawnee neighborhood as part of an ongoing narcotics probe.

Kevin Franklin, also known as Kevin Simms, was arrested on multiple charges. Police noted that Franklin is a repeat violent offender.

The department shared photos of the seizure on Facebook, describing it as a “major dent” in the investigation. Items recovered included 7.6 ounces of fentanyl-laced heroin, marijuana, restricted ammunition, and an unlawfully possessed firearm.
