LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police say two men were injured in separate shootings overnight on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
The first victim arrived at UofL Hospital on his own with gunshot wounds that police described as non-life-threatening. Investigators later determined the shooting took place near Utah and Thornberry Avenue, where officers secured and processed the scene.
In the second case, officers were called to 39th and West Market Street around 5 a.m. for a reported shooting but found no victim. Soon after, police learned a man had shown up at Norton Clark Hospital in Indiana with a gunshot wound. His injuries were also reported as non-life-threatening.
Investigators say the man told them he was shot near South 43rd and West Market streets while walking.
No suspects have been identified in either case. LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating both incidents. Anyone with information is urged to call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD or submit details through the LMPD online crime tip portal.
