A woman was apprehended Thursday evening after a Bladensburg Police Department vehicle pursuit ended in Northeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
According to MPD, officers responded around 5:36 p.m. to a suspect bailout following the chase, which concluded in the 1800 block of Providence Street Northeast after the suspect collided with an unoccupied parked vehicle.
According to police, a woman left the area on foot before being apprehended by MPD officers and detained without incident.
The woman was detained on accusations of illegal use of a vehicle, felony receiving stolen items, leaving after a collision resulting in property damage, and no permit.
She was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the incident.
The MPD stated that its officers were not involved in the car pursuit, and no other injuries were recorded.
