David Leroy Harvey, Jr., 33, of Great Mills, Maryland, was sentenced to 41 years in prison, with 21 years active, after being convicted of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and fleeing and evading police, according to State’s Attorney Jaymi Sterling.
“This is the defendant’s third felony drug conviction. Mr. Harvey had only been out of jail for two months and was on supervised probation for robbery in another county when he chose to conduct another felony, according to State’s Attorney Jaymi Sterling. “Repeat offenders who continue to engage in criminal activity despite prior judicial intervention pose some of the most significant safety risks to our community and must be held accountable accordingly.”
