A 26-year-old Wellesley man was apprehended, and a 58-year-old man died Thursday night as a result of a stabbing, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney.
Just before 6 p.m., Wellesley police were summoned to the neighbourhood of 11 Maugus Avenue for a 911 call.
Officers arrived and discovered the unidentified victim with a stab wound. They were transferred to Newton-Wellesley Hospital, where he was declared dead.
The investigation was performed by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office, as well as Wellesley police. That’s when James Floyd Bennett III, 26, was arrested. He is set to appear in Dedham District Court tomorrow morning.
An investigation is still ongoing, and no further information will be given at this time.
