3 people apprehended in Aloha, accused of stealing about $36,000 worth of merchandise from Seattle area stores

Three people were apprehended and roughly $36,000 in stolen merchandise was recovered during a retail theft investigation, according to the Tigard Police Department.

The investigation began on May 16 when Ulta’s Organized Retail Theft investigator reported that suspects had stolen products from several Seattle-area locations and were thought to be in Washington County.

Washington County deputies used a drone to locate the suspects’ SUV, a Cadillac Escalade, in the parking lot of the 20000 block of Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway, near a food cart pod.

Police claimed two suspects, Nerielis Brinez-Brinez and Dayan Anarlo-Buckjones, were discovered near the SUV.

Drone footage shows a third suspect entering a neighboring food truck. Deputies discovered and detained Albianys Melean-Gonzalez inside the food truck.

All three individuals were detained for first-degree theft. Melean-Gonzalez was also arrested on a warrant in connection with an unrelated theft case from 2025, according to police.

Police said detectives examined the SUV and discovered stolen fragrances and other stolen items.

“Washington County has a zero-tolerance policy for all types of crime, including retail theft,” Kevin Barton, DA, said. “Using a combination of local resources and grant funding, we have built a coalition of law enforcement agencies and retailers who help ensure businesses, employees, and customers are safe.”
