Police apprehended a woman after officers and security personnel responded to a report of a rowdy individual within City Hall chambers wielding a sword concealed in a cane.
Officers responded to the call at 1:43 p.m. on the 800 block of Elm Street. Officers and security personnel apprehended the individual without causing any injuries.
Alexandra Dalton, the suspect, has been identified. She was detained and charged with resisting arrest, causing fear, possessing hidden weapons, and disrupting a lawful meeting.
Investigators discovered that Dalton mislead security officers by claiming the cane was for disability purposes when it actually contained a hidden weapon. The investigation is underway.
