KSP investigates fatal multi-vehicle crash in Christian County

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (March 31, 2026) — Kentucky State Police Post 2 troopers are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in a death in Christian County on Saturday, March 28.

Preliminary findings show that three vehicles traveling eastbound on Interstate 24 near the 86-mile marker collided, causing multiple injuries and one fatality. Two passengers were airlifted from the scene with serious injuries.

Elizabeth Lubke, 39, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, was among those flown to a hospital in Tennessee, where she later died from her injuries on March 30.

Officials said the second passenger who was airlifted is expected to recover.

The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Trooper Nathan Pedigo of Kentucky State Police.
