LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The final days of March are here, with April just around the corner, bringing continued warm temperatures along with rounds of storms.

A slight chance of showers or storms remains across central and eastern Kentucky today, though coverage is expected to be limited. Temperatures are staying in the 70s.

Highs are forecast to climb into the upper 70s and low 80s from Tuesday through much of the week, with temperatures running well above normal through the weekend.

The warmer pattern will bring only scattered storm chances over the next few days, with the best opportunity for more widespread activity arriving this weekend.

A cold front is expected to move in Saturday night, bringing the potential for strong storms, followed by cooler winds and showers on Easter Sunday.
