17-Year-Old Injured in Shooting in Louisville’s Highlands Neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A 17-year-old boy was injured in a late-night shooting Wednesday in Louisville’s Highlands neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police said officers responded around 10:15 p.m. to the 1800 block of Rosewood Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Police administered first aid until EMS crews arrived. The teen was then taken to University of Louisville Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Investigators have not yet determined how the shooting occurred. LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is leading the investigation.
