KENTUCKY — An Edmonson County woman was arrested following an investigation that led deputies to discover suspected explosives and drugs at a residence, authorities said.
According to a uniform citation from the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Department, deputies went to the 100 block of Fox Wood Court on Monday to serve an arrest warrant for a male subject. While on scene, deputies spoke with a woman identified as a relative of Jenny Durbin, 46, of Bee Spring.
Deputies reported seeing a person enter the home and drop a backpack on the front porch. Authorities said they were later given consent to search the residence, where they found what appeared to be a foil pipe and marijuana inside.
Investigators said additional backpacks located on the porch contained a military-grade explosive igniter, suspected methamphetamine, and a glass pipe with residue. According to deputies, Durbin claimed ownership of the backpacks.
Durbin was arrested and taken to the Hart County Jail. Formal charges were not listed in the citation, and the investigation is ongoing, officials said.
